Nonpoint Drummer Robb Rivera Offers Bands One-on-One Consulting

This is probably one of the coolest things I've heard of a proven, professional musician doing to help other bands. I talked with drummer Robb Rivera of the mighty Nonpoint the other day about a service that he is doing in order to simply help as many young bands as he can. He is willing to consult with any rock or metal band and help them with any questions they may have about the industry, what comes next or any other questions they may have. We all have questions and how cool would it be to be able to ask a successful musician who's been in the business for over a decade now about anything? AWESOME! We've always day dreamed about being best friends with a successful musician in a successful band that you could bug for advice whenever you'd like; and here is your chance. I talked with Robb about the details, and trust me, it's something you're going to want to at least try.

Aaron Manogue: Why are you doing the consulting?
Robb Rivera: I look at it as pay it forward. I have learned a lot over the years. The god and the bad so I always have young bands come up to me asking me what do they need to do and i look at the position they are in then i take it from there.

Manogue: What type of bands should contact you
Rivera: Well i am more interested in the rock bands to be honest, it's mainly the expertise in this field that why i prefer it more than other types of bands.

Manogue: What can bands learn from you?
Rivera: Being able to cut some corners, be smarter with their money, traveling cost effective, learning what they need to do to be able to stay a band

Manogue: Why are you so willing to help other bands?
Rivera: I just love to help others and promote, so many people have always said use your knowledge to your advantage.

Manogue: Was there another band or musician who kind of took you under their wing when you first started and gave you advice?
Rivera: Oh yea! We learned from ,any bands. BC the original drummer from Hed Pe, the Mudvayne guys, Disturbed, Machine Head, Sevendust, etc.

Manogue: How much is the consulting and for how long?
Rivera: 30 dollars for a half an hour and 50 for the hour.

So if you are serious about your music and have questions that could really only be answered by a true professional, it is ABSOLUTELY worth the time. Not only is Robb an amazing drummer, but he is a true professional, a great business man and one hell of a guy. Learn things that you could only learn from someone who has been there and done that. And to top it off, Robb understands most up and coming bands don't have a huge budget, so he's made it affordable for everyone. If you're SERIOUSLY interested in this service, contact us at contact@hard-rock-reviews.com and we'll get you in touch with Robb personally. And please, if you try this out, come back and give us feedback. We'd love to know how this is helping you!

Nonpoint Officially Enters Studio to Record New Album

There's been a TON of anticipation surrounding Nonpoint's next album, when it would be recorded and when it will be released. Well, one of those very important questions has been officially answered as the rockers have announced they are officially in studio recording their next album, to be released through their new label Razor & Tie. They have gone into the studio with their guns drawn, bringing Grammy-nominated Producer Johnny-K to produce their seventh album. Johnny-K has worked with some of the best in the rock biz including Staind, Distrubed and Megadeath.

Nonpoint is coming off a split with long time bassist Ken MacMillan and guitarist Zach Broderick and there has been a lot of questions surrounding their replacements. According to Blabbermouth.com, Lead vocalist Elias Soriano commented on the new members:
"We're proud to officially announce the new members of NONPOINT. Dave Lizzio, Rasheed Thomas and Adam Woloszyn have been chased by bands in the Chicago area for years and somehow by a stroke of luck and timing, we now have three of the freshest, most talented players on our team. These guys are great players and even better people."

"From day one, the new writing process has been full of great ideas and open minds, and now adding Johnny K into the formula has Robb and I very excited. After listening to the demos, Johnny K said, 'It's easy to find someone to play guitar for a band. It's hard to accomplish what you have by finding Dave, Rasheed and Adam, and that's finding people who can write amazing riffs.' From that point on I knew: This new lineup and record will be epic in the chronicle of NONPOINT."
It is a testament to drummer Robb Rivera and Soriano's perseverance and character to be in the studio for the seventh album after all of the lineup changes and ups and downs the band has experienced in their time together. Soriano and Rivera are the only remaining original members and are the absolute heart and soul of the Nonpoint nation.

With the addition of Dave, Rasheed and Adam, it's an extremely exciting time for Nonpoint and their fans as the possibilities are endless. The amount of musicianship now in Nonpoint on top of the high level that Robb and Elias already have is astronomical and any hard rock or metal lover should be salivating at the possibilities for their new album. The album is due out in late Spring so be sure to keep your ears and eyes peeled. Be prepared to be blown away, Nonpoint style. Oh yes indeed, ladies and gentlement, Nonpoint is STILL ALIVE AND KICKING!

Be sure to follow Nonpoint's progress in the studio by following Robb's blog at www.RobbRivera.com!

Nonpoint's Rob Rivera Forms Imprint Label

Our close friend and drummer of the almighty Nonpoint, Robb Rivera has yet again expanded his impressive portfolio by forming an imprint label titled Stand Strong for Music through THC: Music/Rocket Science. This according to the official press release that was sent out earlier today. We want to congratulate our friend Robb and wish him the best of luck in yet another inspiring musical endeavor that he has taken on. He's one of the most driven and dedicated musicians in the business today and we have no doubt that this will be yet another successful project of his. Here is some information from the official press release:

“Nonpoint drummer Robb Rivera has teamed up with THC : MUSIC to form his own label imprint SSFM (Stand Strong For Music), which will sign and release records through THC : MUSIC/ROCKET SCIENCE. Rivera, a founding member of Hard Rock mainstays Nonpoint, who released their latest and sixth studio album, 2010’s Miraclethrough Rocket Science, debuting at #59 on the Billboard Chart.
But the connection doesn’t stop there, as THC founder/Rocket Science A&R Thom Hazaert, also served as an early manager to the Florida Rockers, and helped to garner them some of their first label interest in the late 90’s while working as an A&R scout for Jive.
“Obviously the ties to Robb and the Nonpoint camp were strong, we’ve always been friends and crossed paths many times over the years. Robb has an amazing eye for business, and an incredible ear for talent, so when we started talking about this, it just made perfect sense.” says Hazaert. “Many of the most successful up and coming bands of the last decade cut their teeth touring with Nonpoint, and both myself and Robb saw that as a great opportunity to form a pipeline to develop some amazing talent together.”
Rivera adds, “Thom and I go way back from Nonpoint’s demo/local days. I saw what he was doing with THC and Rocket Science, and I decided to reach out, and that’s when the idea for the imprint came up. Most people that know me know that I have always helped bands by either putting them on shows, posting about their band and this is something I have done since my teens.”
“I love promoting and helping bands; I have always said that if I like your band, people will know, and this is just an extension of that. I am excited about this new chapter in my life and I will be looking forward to finding the best new bands out there, not only bands with great music, but with the work ethic to match.”
Releases will be distributed in North America though Sony/RED.
THC was founded in 2011 by Thom Hazaert, former President of Corporate Punishment Records, a 15 year industry veteran, who as an Artist Manager/A&R Rep helped launch the careers of Chimaira, Switched, Depswa, Bleed the Sky, Adema, and more. Also a seasoned industry marketing vet, and co-founder of Total Assault Marketing, being involved with a myriad of hugely successful 2000’s major label releases from artists including Limp Bizkit, Korn, Snot, (Hed)pe, Nine Inch Nails, Static-X, Cold, Guns N’ Roses, Pitchshifter, Staind, and more.
Rocket Science is a full service Artist services company and Record Label offering marketing, promotion and distribution services to prominent former major label artists looking for a modern, Artist-friendly outlet. Formed by former MCA/Universal exec Kevin Day, Rocket Science has brought successful releases to the marketplace from artists as diverse as Nonpoint, Filter, Smashing Pumpkins, Liz Phair, George Lynch, John 5, Manraze (featuring Def Leppard’s Phil Collen and Sex Pistols’ Paul Cook), Ace Frehley, Angels and Airwaves, Lo-Pro, and Yanni.”

Photo: Angela Villand
Razor & Tie is pleased to announce the addition of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida rockersNonpoint to its label and publishing rosters. The band has been on a major roll recently, having wrapped up a two year tour in support of their album Miracle with a triumphant show in front of 6,000 fans at Wisconsin's at Taste of Madison. The Miracle tour also saw other exciting benchmarks for the band, including performances at the Metal Hammer Awards, U.K's Download Festival and Australia's Soundwave Festival where they were the recipients of an MTV Soundie Award (courtesy of MTV Classic Australia). Nonpoint also re-established themselves at Active Rock radio with their hit "Miracle" breaking into the Top 15.

Nonpoint is already deep into writing their forthcoming new album having demo'd over two dozen songs. The new album is currently slated for a spring of 2012 release.

"We couldn't be happier or more excited about our up-coming new partnership with Razor & Tie. Their aggressive staff and fresh plan of attack has us excited to get this record on the shelves and on the airwaves because I know they will reach for greatness and are as proud of being a part of this project as we are. We're very much looking forward to the next album cycle," comments Elias Soriano of Nonpoint.

Divyded Proves They Belong with the Best

Kittie, Nonpoint, Art of Dying, Taste of Madison, and Band Camp. Most bands play for years just dreaming of scoring gigs like these, yet there’s one band who have managed to scale the ranks and land those shows in just a matter of months. The immensely talented metal band Divyded has managed to make a name for themselves by doing what so many other bands fail to do these days; stay true to themselves. They ignore fads, trends and cookie cutter band clichés and write music that is who they are. Just one listen to any of their songs and you realize why this band has caught the attention of thousands of hard rock and metal fans. Hard Rock Review's Aaron Manogue spoke with the boys in Divyded; Jason Radosevich, Drums; Chuck Wepfer, lead guitar and vocals;   Ryan Trainor, bass; and Jason Hagberg, guitar.

Aaron Manogue: Talk to me about where Divyded got started.
Divyded: Divyded actually got started right in the middle of another project that we were already collaborating on with some other people. When we had realized that that particular project wasn’t 100% what we were really shooting for, we stepped outside of the box and started brainstorming a bit and Divyded thus ensued shortly after. It has been nonstop work from there on out.

Manogue: How long have each of you been playing your instruments?
Divyded: We have all had our instruments for quite a number of years. Chuck, Jason Hagberg and Ryan have been playing guitar and bass for the last 12, 17, and 12 years (respectively), and Jason Radosevich has been on and off the drums for the last 5 years hitting it more intensely over the last year and a half.

Manogue: Where did the name come from?
Divyded: Well the name came after a lot of thought. We wanted to have something that was different and had a great sound to it all the while trying to convey who we are and what we are. We knew that we needed to be different, develop something that was unique to this ever changing industry that we are breaking into. So essentially we started thinking about who we are. One thought process took us to the next and the next, until we finally just realized that we are essentially "dividing" ourselves from the rest of what seems to be happening at our stage. The light bulb went on immediately after we were thinking of "dividing" ourselves from everyone else and that eventually formed into "Divyded," as we felt that that expressed what we were accomplishing; "dividing" ourselves from the rest.

Manogue: You guys have really been gaining some notoriety lately playing the Band Camp preshow, Taste of Madison, opening for Kittie, Art of Dying and Nonpoint. What's it been like to already be gaining ground with national acts?
Divyded: One word can describe it man, fun! We have a great time at every show we play and it has all been really awesome and we are thankful for the opportunities that we have been given along the way from people like Randy Hawke and Ski over at 94.1 WJJO and Justin Moralez at The Rave in Milwaukee.

Manogue: How have you guys managed to make a name for yourself so quickly in an industry that most people say is down?
Divyded: We work really hard at what we do and try to deliver as much as possible. We stay who we are and don’t follow trends.

Manogue: You guys write and record your own stuff. What do you think the advantage of having that much control over your stuff is?
Divyded: One of the biggest things is that we don’t have any limitations at all. With that freedom we feel like we can write some creative work.

Manogue: You guys really have a unique and noticeable sound, yet you still have that necessary hook. How do you guys approach the writing process when writing music?
Divyded: There really isn’t too much of a method to the madness. We usually start out with a riff on the guitar, or a beat on the drums and try and one up one another with an idea. Someone will play something and someone will be like "Hey wait, play that again." Then we kind of just build up off of what someone is playing and then once we have a concept for a song we start thinking to ourselves, "Ok. That part sounds good, that part needs some tweaking, kick that part out, let's put a stronger part in there," etc. We try to think of everything from a listener’s perspective and while doing that we ask ourselves "Would we buy that?" If the answer is yes, we progress further into the song adding more elements to it, making it larger and better sounding with each step.

Manogue: Your self-titled EP really did a lot for you guys in getting your name out there. Is there any new music on the way or maybe a full length album?
Divyded: We will be continuing to release singles for now. Things may change in the future and we might do a full length down the line but we are just sticking to singles for the time being.

Manogue: If you could only play one more show for the rest of your lives, but you get to chose who you play with, who would it be and why?
Divyded: We would amass a huge show! It would have to be a multi-day event that would include artists like, Rob Zombie, Ozzy, AC/DC, Zakk Wylde, Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, Godsmack, and Ted Nugent. Reason being is that all of these guys are talented musicians who are masters at what they do and they kick fucking ass!

Manogue: What's the first thing you'd do if you found out we were in the midst of a zombie apocolypse?
Divyded: Step 1: Gather as many Zombie Ass Kicking Weapons as we can find. Step 2: Get all Non-Zombie personnel that we can find. Step 3: Go from city to city kicking Zombie Ass!

You can buy Divyded’s singles here or check them out at www.Divyded.com.

Interview with Ben Wells of Black Stone Cherry

When anyone says the words "southern rock," most people think of the days back in the '70's when The Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd reigned as the kings of rock n' roll with their legendary guitar riffs and serene vocals. In their day, they were pioneers in the type of sound that they brought to the music scene in combining rock, country and blues into a new breed of music. Although southern rock definitely has it's place in the rock n' roll scene today, the band Black Stone Cherry has to be the most intriguing of the bunch. The band's new record "Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" is nothing short of kick ass. The boys from Kentucky have made their own musical concoction, just as their southern rock predecessors did. There's definitely still that distinctive southern rock ring to the entire album, but they've sprinkled feels of nu metal and mainstream hook throughout. The result is one of the funnest albums to listen to this year. Hard Rock Reviews' Aaron Manogue spoke with lead guitarist Ben Wells about their incredibly unique sound, the eclectic sound on their new record, and their Carnival of Madness Tour with Theory of a Deadman and Alter Bridge.

Aaron Manogue: What do you think it is that really gives your band the incredibly unique sound that you have built your reputation off of?
Ben Wells: I think the fact that we are from a small town in Kentucky and the fact that we didn't have a music scene to fit into growing up has a lot to do with the way we sound. We grew up fans of blues, country, classic rock, folk, etc. and wanted to have pieces of that in our music!

Manogue: "White Trash Millionaire" has blown up across the country and on the charts. Tell me what that song means to you and what you're saying to your fans through that song.
Wells: It's just a fun song. It means be happy with what you have. It means feeling like a "millionaire" doesn't mean you have to have a million bucks in your pocket, you can have simple things and feel like a King as long as you're happy!

Manogue: You guys have a very eclectic sound throughout "Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea." You go from almost a John Mellencamp type sound in "Like I Roll" to almost a Nu Metal sound in "Killing Floor." Is that something you guys intended with this record?
Wells: One hundred percent! I mean we never set out to sound like anyone in particular but we don't want to limit ourselves. An album is supposed to be a story book of songs, a listening experience. If every song sounded the same or had the same vibe we think it would get boring!

Manogue: What was the inspiration or story behind covering "Cant You See" originally by the Marshall Tucker Band on the new record?
Wells: We started doing that on our headline tour of Europe in 2009. It was just a fun thing to do live at the time. We were doing it more traditional and true to the original then, too. We ended up recording it as a demo for the album and everyone flipped over it so we had to spice it up and rock it out a little more to make it our own thing!

Manogue: Your band has a sound that holds itself well for both large arenas as well as small venues. What do you like about the two and which do you prefer?
Wells: We get asked that a lot. Both are good and bad at times. Honestly, there's few things bad with playing an arena except for the distance between the band and the audience. We prefer the fans to be real close and in our face; makes it more personal. But small rooms can suck too at times; no showers, small PA, you just have to deal with those things. We don't let them really get to us, as long as the people are rocking out, we're happy!

Manogue: You'll be playing alongside some great bands including Theory of a Deadman and Alter Bridge, H. Is there anyone on the bill that you're looking forward to playing with for the first time or maybe someone you're looking forward to playing with again?
Wells: Most of the bands on the bill we have at one point shared the stage with. It's full of great bands and I'm sure it will be like a reunion for many! Hopefully we can catch as many shows as possible!

Check out Black Stone Cherry's new album "Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea!"

Win JJO Bandcamp Preshow band Divyded's Latest Singles

WJJO BandCamp 2011 is just over a week away and Hard-Rock-Reviews.com has a perfect way to get amped for the show of the summer. We've teamed up with JJO BandCamp Preshow band Divyded to offer you a chance to win their two latest releases to help you get to know them before they kick off BandCamp weekend with style. All you need to do is visit Hard-Rock-Reviews' and Divyded's Facebook pages, like/friend them, and then leave a comment at the bottom of this article with your email address. We'll chose one lucky person to get their latest songs "Tear It Up" and "Hell Within" free.

Hard-Rock-Reviews' Facebook
Divyded's Facebook

We spoke with drummer Jason Radosevich about Divyded, what it's like to play the JJO BandCamp Preshow, and what it's like to play with Kittie, Nonpoint, and other kickass bands!

Aaron Manogue: What's it like to have the honor of playing the JJO Bandcamp preshow?
Jason Radosevich: Its amazing. Madison has been our favorite place to play. The fans are crazy as HELL and we love it!

AM: Tell me about your new music and the singles that you've been releasing "Tear it Up" & "Hell Within".
JR: Our self titled EP came out late last year so we wanted to put out something new for the fans. It works out great because we are going to be really busy playing shows in august through the end of the year. The fans seem to really like "Tear it up" and "Hell within" so we can't wait to play them at these upcoming shows!

AM: Tell me about the Divyded writing process. You guys can seem to turn out high quality songs very quickly so what's the secret to your magic?
JR: We are always in the process of writing no matter where we are. It never stops. We really dont have a secret to it. Its just all about finding the right riff or the right beat and once we start establishing a base for the song we end up feeding off of what the other guy is doing and we basically go back and forth with ideas and do rough recordings of them till we find exactly what it is we are looking for. Then we demo it as a complete song and work on other aspects of production for it.

AM: Is this going to be part of another album or simply singles?
JR: Just Singles for now. More will come and eventually a full album. We wanted to give people some new music to Rock out to till then!

AM: Along with the JJO Bandcamp Preshow, you are also slated to be playing with some other large bands including Kittie, Dirge Within and Nonpoint I believe. What's it like to be such a young band and already getting the notoriety of opening for such established successful bands?
JR: Its Awesome! Cant even describe how much fun it is! These guys really bring it to the table and its an honor for us to be playing with them. We are hoping to destroy just as much as they do!

AM: What's next for Divyded? Can we expect new albums, touring, etc. anytime soon?
JR: Right now we are continuing to write, demo and produce more music for the fans. There will be more Hard Rock, and hopefully some Blood Shed, in the near future! We are continuing the process of booking shows as well. So keep updated with us on our website at www.divyded.com for updates on shows and We Will Tear It Up! through your city!

Interview with Ethan Isaac of Edisun

Everyone loves a hometown hero and Ethan Isaac is bringing Edisun back home for one of the summer's largest shows, 94.1 WJJO Band Camp. The son of a NYC playwright, Ethan knows a thing or two about putting on a good show and he says that is what Edisun has built their reputation on. Hard Rock Review's Aaron Manogue talked with Ethan about their full-length debut album, playing Band Camp and their previous experience with WJJO.

Aaron Manogue: You guys are on the lineup for this year's 94.1 WJJO Band Camp. What is it like to have the honor of playing such a big event with so many other great bands?
Ethan Isaac: I grew up in Madison so it's amazing to be be working with wjjo and be on the bill with so many great bands like clutch and five finger death punch.

AM: Is there a band on the lineup that you are really excited about playing with? (Here's the lineup so far )
EI: Clutch has got to be one of the most original hard rock bands alive! So yes Clutch is the shit!

Nonpoint Bassist Ken MacMillan Talks About His New Clothing Line "Bastard 10:31"

Vibrant, colorful, unique, crazy...squirrelly? All of these words describe Ken "Bastard" MacMillan, bassist of Nonpoint and his new clothes line "Bastard 10:31." Music is his profession and mastered art, but he has always had an urge to do more with other forms of art. By combining his incredible artistic talent with his truly one of a kind personality, he's started something that isn't about being cool, or having the latest "label" on your shirt, it's about being yourself, living, and being good to those living. HRR talked with the Bastard about the clothing line and what it means to him.

Bastard 10:31 Website
Aaron Manogue: Tell me where the idea for Bastard 10:31 came from? Have you always been interested in graphic/clothing design or just art as a whole?
Bastard: Ever since I went to college for art in Miami I've wanted to do my own shirts. I never cared about making a living at it. I just really enjoyed the idea of being able to make use of my artwork. Pictures on the wall are nice, but having clothing that is completely custom is way more useful. I finally got off my ass and had a couple designs run so that I could have my own stage gear. The natural progression was to offer those same designs to our fans. I fought for a long time about having to charge for the shirts because to me, art is about connection and communication. If there was a way I could just give my work away I would. But I need this stuff called "food", so that makes freebies a bit taxing on my survival.

Interview with Nonpoint Singer Elias Soriano

photo - Angela Villand
Every time Nonpoint crosses the state lines to play a show in my state, I see the madness, the excitement and anticipation of a show people KNOW is gonna kick so much ass, they have to take the next day off work. I hear the stories of "my first show was insane," and "the last time I saw them, they were just as good as ten years ago when they played here." It's almost "viral," in the sense that I can go to a show, any show, and see someone in a Nonpoint shirt or hoodie and smile, and they hold the horns up. They know. We all know. If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'll be a bit more specific. One of the greatest LIVE shows you will ever see is Nonpoint. If you have not yet seen them play either an indoor or an outdoor concert, you have not seen a rock show. It's a bit metal, it's hard core, it's heavy, it's heart-pounding bass lines, followed by either melodic or angry vocals that are so intense it gives me chills just remembering my first Nonpoint show. I'm so emphatic about it because I've had the honor of seeing them so many times in concert. I have not once hit a show and thought to myself that it was the same or not as good as I'd expected. Every article, every show review, every follow up says "Nonpoint do not disappoint their fans." Robb Rivera, Nonpoint's drummer, says it's because that's what they intend. They don't want anyone, no matter their age or creed, to leave feeling hungry for more. They have every intention of leaving you feeling satisfied. That's exactly what happens, without fail.Nonpoint's singer, Elias Soriano, feeds off the energy that is prevalent in the pit and beyond, reaches out to give back that aggression, the passion, the excitement that is what Nonpoint is all about. Hard-Rock-Reviews spent some time talking with Elias about the music, the live show, and  more...

Nonpoint Drummer Robb Rivera talks Social Media, Connecting with Fans & more!

Robb Rivera

With the success of the 2010 release, Miracle, it seems people have shed their nervousness because Nonpoint remains consistently faithful to the signature “sound” that their fans feel "belong"s to the band. There’s this big sigh of relief in the “Nonpoint fan community” that’s rather collective. There was a period of time when guitarist Andy Goldman left and Zach Broderick was on board when fans were not sure what was going to happen til they saw a live Nonpoint show and left knowing “It’s all good!” Having a new guitarist can make, break, improve, change….it can do so many things for a band. They’ve been very fortunate in many ways over the years, especially since the addition of Zach to the family has ultimately been a good and positive transition for your band and for the fans! Looking back, three-plus years later, after the adoption of a new guitarist and essential songwriter, I asked Nonpoint's drummer ROBB RIVERA about Zach's "adoption" to the Nonpoint family, we talked about how they're still touring on the album Miracle, and we even discussed his retired Muppet "Animal."

Nonpoint promised their fans something special once their Official Facebook page hit 100,000 fans...
They've never let their fans down; not in live performances, not in the studio, and certainly not in person. Now they've raised the cyber-bar and kept a promise online to their community of fans.

Nonpoint Performs "Billie Jean" on New Year's Eve

On New Year's Eve, Hard-Rock-Reviews.com staffers had the pleasure of attending an acoustic show by Nonpoint, Aranda and Edisun presented by 94.1 WJJO.

Easily one of the biggest highlights of the night was Nonpoint's acoustic rendition of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean." Now I know most of you reading this are going to say, "Why in the Hell are you posting a video of "Billie Jean" on a HARD ROCK website?!" Well it's because this goes to show how eclectic, dynamic, and incredibly talented Nonpoint can be.  Not often do we come across a band with talent enough to rock your faces off on a nightly basis and then turn around and pull off an acoustic performance such as this.  What a hell of a way to start 2011!
(Thanks to Jenny Furnish & Angela Villand for the video!)

Nonpoint "Miracle" Review

Miracle
It seems like every time someone talks about any rock n’ roll artist or band these days, there is an underlying and ridiculous urge to place them in some generalized category. Whether it’s soft rock, alternative rock, heavy metal, death metal, or any amalgamation of rock n’ roll genres that some self-proclaimed music junky decides to make up for a certain band, people feel the need to stereotype a band’s sound. For the boys of Nonpoint it’s never been about fitting into some cliché music genre or writing records to make the charts, it’s simply been about one thing and one thing only; writing genuine, pure Nonpoint music.
