Nonpoint Release "Billie Jean" Studio Version Demo To Their Fans

Nonpoint promised their fans something special once their Official Facebook page hit 100,000 fans...
They've never let their fans down; not in live performances, not in the studio, and certainly not in person. Now they've raised the cyber-bar and kept a promise online to their community of fans.

They've released a free download to a new studio recording of their version of "Billie Jean!" The link posted on their Facebook page was accompanied by the following...

"Well peeps we did it. We did this on New Years out of the blue and 4 hours before the show we said let's give this a go. Chris Cornell and David Cook did it but the dark quality made it appealing. The response was overwhelming when we did and lots of fans suggested we do a studio version. Well our buddy Jeff Martin from Simplekill studio let us come in and bang this out in a couple of hours. Thank you Nonpoint fans."

The 94.1 WJJO Acoustic NEW YEARS EVE show featured Edisun, Aranda & Nonpoint. It was at this particular show that the guys decided to throw "Billie Jean" on the set list. During their sound check, we were fortunate to watch them during the process of talking it over, playing it piece by piece and putting the song together...it was an amazing treat to watch, for sure. Later that night, when they played "Billie Jean," people went crazy, which was to be expected.
We (HRR) uploaded our video of their performance of "Billie Jean" less than a week later, here on Hard-Rock-Reviews.com and on our youtube.com account. The video immediately went viral. (If you missed the video, click here.)
It's an incredible thing to watch a band grow from 145 fans at the Club Raven in Evansville 10yrs ago to where they are today, ....and it's even more fun when we see that those same guys that stood around shaking hands with every person in that small-town bar back then are still shaking hands and staying humble...keeping that direct contact with the fans, no matter what the method. It may sound like an oxymoron, but it must be said: Elias, Zach, Robb & Ken know how to "keep it real" (even in the world of online social networking) with their fans.
