Korn to Release All Dubstep Album 'The Path of Totality'

Exciting news came out of the Korn camp this morning with the announcement that they would be releasing a new album. This was great news to hear as most of us were hoping they'd stick to their numetal roots and kick our asses once again with another successful album. But the announcement came with a huge twist, and we're not sure how we feel about it. The entire album will be produced by dubstep producers, including Skrillex, who produced their first single off of the album 'Get Up.' The list of other producers include 'Narcissistic Cannibal', 'Burn the Obedient', 'Illuminati', 'Kill Mercy Within', 'and 'Chaos Lives in Everything'; who? Yeah, that's what we thought too. Leadman Jonathan Davis and bassist Fieldy apparently convinced the rest of the band earlier this summer of the idea.
"Jonathan loved it [dubstep] and he just got us into it. We feel it's important to stay current and keep on top of what's going on."
According to Davis, the album's title comes from a solar eclipse, stating, "In order to see the sun in a full solar eclipse, you must be in the exact right place in the exact right time. That's how this album came together. I think all the producers feel the same way. I'm not sure it could ever happen again" As for the idea of Korn, one of our times best numetal bands doing an entire album with dubstep producers, we're unsure. We love Korn for their original sound they brought to the scene and changed things in a good way. On the other hand, 'Get Up' is a badass song so we can't really complain much. In the end, it's going to be Korn, so it can't be all bad. What do you guys think?
