Tom Morello, inspired by Union Protests in Madison, WI, releases 'Union Town' EP

 He's been called many things, not the least of which is a talented, inspiring, progressive rocker; one that advocates and fights for positive change. He has a fully encompassed website dedicated to such things, shares news, thoughts, and asks for support from his readers and followers to help make positive changes in this world. For almost a decade, Tom Morello has also been writing and performing his own genre of eccentric political folk music under the alias The Nightwatchman. Tom tells the Pop & Hiss blog at L.A. Times that he was inspired by participating in demonstrations at the state capitol in Madison.

The Rage Against the Machine/Audioslave/The Nightwatchman musician described his 8 song EP as “fighting songs.”

The EP's digital release is set for May 17, then CD and (VINYL!) release on July 19 under Morello's New West Records. Proceeds from sale of the UNION TOWN album benefit America Votes Labor Unity Fund
